Oklahoma City (February 25, 2025) – WPSL PRO, the groundbreaking new professional women’s soccer minor league, is proud to announce the appointment of Kayla Green as its advisory Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Green, a visionary marketing executive, played a pivotal role in shaping Angel City FC into the world’s most valuable women’s professional soccer team. Her leadership and expertise will now be instrumental in elevating WPSL PRO as it ushers in a new era for women’s soccer in North America.

Green brings an impressive track record of innovation and brand-building in the sports industry. As a founding member of Angel City FC’s front office, she spearheaded marketing, branding, and community engagement efforts that helped transform the club into a global powerhouse. During her tenure, Angel City FC achieved record-breaking sponsorship deals, cultivated one of the most passionate fanbases in the sport, and set a new standard for commercial success in women’s soccer.

“Our leadership team is continuing to put in the work to grow this league [WPSL PRO] and to add high-value people to this project,” said Benno Nagel, WPSL PRO project director, said. “Her leadership at Angel City FC helped elevate the entire ecosystem of women’s soccer, and we’re thrilled to have her bring that same vision and expertise to WPSL PRO as we build a sustainable and thriving league.”

WPSL PRO is set to re-launch in late 2025, serving as a critical bridge between the amateur and professional ranks of women’s soccer.

“I’m incredibly excited to join WPSL PRO at such a transformative moment for women’s soccer,” said Green. “We have a unique opportunity to not only build a league that strengthens the player pipeline but also to create a movement that inspires communities and drives lasting change in the sport. I look forward to working with the amazing team at WPSL PRO to set new benchmarks for success.”

“Kayla’s work history speaks for itself, but for us it was her vision, her values, and her drive to help this league [WPSL PRO] reach the success we believe that it can that made her addition as CMO so exciting for us,” Nagel said.
